The estate farms around 700 acres of arable land producing wheat, barley, oilseed rape and potatoes in a typical rotation. At any one time a proportion of this is routinely entered to an environmental scheme such as mid-tier Countryside Stewardship and is then planted for Nectar Flower mix, Winter Bird Food mix or similar on a two year cycle.
